I went to BK’s 7 day course somewhere in the 90′s(can’t remember exactly when)& I was so impressed by them and started liking what I was learning. Then on the last day, when they unveiled the picture of their ‘Baba’, I was put off because I expected to see ‘Lord Shiva & not some guy ‘parading as God.I left never to return.
Up to recently I used wonder if I made a wrong judgement about those ‘wonderful’ people who were extremely nice & ‘helpful’to me. Now, stumbling on to your site has made me realize how’blessed’& ‘protected’ I have been all along for not falling into their trap which would have left me disillusioned all my life. Thanks for the ‘enlightening’ site…i am so relieved.

frankly speaking i was too scared to talk about it till now but i think i have to do some thing as it distances you from your loved ones.

Hi Sunita. Your situation is a common one unfortunately. My advice would be to make sure communication with your husband is clear and positive. Does he know what you are experiencing? Are you communicating your message positively? Have you talked about what he is expecting from the BKs – and what it is he is really looking for?
All new members of the BKs go through a major change in thinking, beliefs and values. He needs to understand the consequences of this – which I am sure he doesn’t. Is there anyone else in his family that is seeing this change in him? If so they need to talk to him also.
Importantly he is curious about the BK philosophy because there is some discontent within him – he is not satisfied in his life either spiritually and emotionally. He is looking to something for fulfilment. If you give him grief at this time you may push him into the BKs. So you need to stay positive and communicate constructively. Find out what he is looking for and address that.
I can’t say much more than this at this stage because I don’t know your personal situation. But if your situation becomes desperate you need to make it clear to your husband what that means to you and what the consequences will be. He cannot think just of himself.

I am almost a regular student of BKWSU since 1996. But not following any shrimat of NOT eating food prepared by others, NOT getting up at 3:30 for yog, when i got this gyan i too got intoxicated for about 1 year. I kept on continuing going to centre till date. I do money service time to time. now after 12 years i am feeling very lonely as i am no more finding courage to mix up with the Pukka BKs and in my loking life too I am not mixing with any body as they are kalyugi. so my stage of dilemma you can understand. All BKs are friendly enough and they understand my stage but still i am hesitating in mixing with them. I still believe in BABA and his teachings but fail to apply them in my life.
I too have many questions about the organization but i take the things to make MY life better only irrespect to what their intentions are.
I would like to be in touch with you… thanks for this site

I am a student of Brahmakumaris and engineer by profession, its been just 1 year since I have joined this organization. Well when i joined my mind was totally blank I had no idea what am i going to get here except yoga but when I took the gyan of 7 days course believe me so many questions of my life were solved and felt that even without any monetry or other intention how cud 1 do so selfless service and with no will to continue with daily classes I did because the result was so wonderful and actually you feel no1 other than God himself can make such a pure environment and cud teach so high level of knowledge.
And about the shrimat you know If I found reason its very simple just try following it and inreturn you wud get amazing happiness and even if you cud not follow all you should not feel disheart and feel proud atleast you are such a regural student of shiv baba and also you have nishya…and baba has choosen you among lakhs of people and last thing the shrimat which is most important is Shubh Bhavana and Shubh Kamana. I really amaze that where else we coud find such a pure and selfless family and above all the most adorable and sweetest Baba.

Dear Sister Sonika
Thanks for your concern,
In your post you said “its been just 1 year since I have joined this organization.”
From my message it must be clear to you that I’m running in 14th year in this gyan. I don’t want to realise you that i’m senior to you and why are you showing concerns without knowing the depth of the knowledge.
Let me explain you taking one example.
You are wandering here and there in hot summer afternoon, feeling thirsty, sweaty, exhausted and fatigue. Suddenly you find a place surrounded by first class Air Conditioners. You enter that place. How would you feel? Relaxed and satisfied. is’nt it?
Same is the case here in BKs. We all are living in the age of tremendous competition, tensions, and insecurity. When we find this organisation, we feel very nice by their behaviour as you said “Shubh Bhawna and Shubh Kamna”. They will run after you, will surrender you with their “caring” and “loving” attitude, invite you to their “peaceful” and “clean” centers = ashrams, feed you with delicious self cooked food, listen to your problems with a fake empathy and show you a fake friendship, let you sit and do some meditation with open eyes looking at the dot in the center of the poster hanging on the wall. In the background a calming music.
They will invite you to their 7 Days Course. They will tell you to forget about your friend because love and sex is the greatest sin. They will tell you that God is coming to them since 70 years and telling them that lust is the greatest sin, that you should only love God and no human beings.
To help humanity, and to become a pure angel like their Seniors, they will tell you that you should get detached from all your loving relationships, from your parents, Sisters and other family members and friends. They will tell you in time that TV, cinema, reading books, nice clothings, all sorts of sports including swimming, any friendships even with the BKs, eating anything cooked from anybody outside of the center, eating your mom’s food, all are considered impure and are not approved. You have to forget about your dreams of having children one day.
To become a future queen in the Golden Age, after Destruction of the world (which is happening in just 2-3 years since 70 years…eh) you should forget about all these worldly “sinful” attachments and surrender your bones to the “God” of the BKs, which means to the spook which gives messages through their medium. This so called “God” allows the BKs no education, no joy, no love, no care and friendship, even not to save money for their own future because “Baba=God” needs their money; and there is no future for the BKs, “Destruction can happen any minute”.
But the BK Seniors are allowed to fly first class around the globe, to stay in expensive hotels, they let the followers buy luxury real estates as centers or retreat centers, the Seniors are allowed to say all sorts of lies, to abuse their followers’ faith, to take all their money and create accounts with incredible amounts.
When you start to come and go to the center they will ask you for some little help in center’s daily life to get you under their influence, they will let you do some work like giving out some leaflets, some small help in the kitchen, and will show you great understanding, love and care- all fake of course- so that you will feel yourself in your real “family” and forget about your parents, your family and friends.
You called me bhai, As a brother, for you only, I can wish you a loveful life of your own choice for yourself and for your near and dear ones, and not under the control and brainwash of a sect.
Good luck

I admire people who got the opportunity to be in Gyan for a long time but at the same time feel myself lucky for easily adopting all the Shrimats (directed by God) in such a short span of time and feeling the ultimate result which is lightness inside, immense pleasure and huge potential to become the true hands of God (Word’Almighty Authority).
My Spiritual Brother I think you did not try to search the reason behind all that is why you have so much hatred inside. Now give me the chance to explain you as I have traveled throughout the world and was into spirituality for last 10 years and after I joined BrahmaKumaris the whole concept behind has become crystal clear to me. 1st Need to make it loud and clear that there is no 1 who is running this organization except the World’s Almighty Authority who is the Supreme Father of all the souls.
2. The AIM of our Supreme Father is to change this dirty world (full of corruptions, fear, disturbances, tensions etc…) to a Paradise (full of happiness, peace, contentment and love with no impurity at all).
3. World Transformation 1st is not a human’s Job as no human in today’s could dare for this because its hard to transform themselves so how cud I guarantee for a world transformation that’s why God has come to do this Supreme Job and now how cud I transform myself into a pure soul as I don’t have that much of energy , willpower or potential left but when God has told me that you take 1 step and I would take 1000 steps for you and practically I felt every time he keeps his words and he take 1000 steps for me the moment I take 1 step following this Shrimat and the self transformation which seems to me the impossible task is now has become possible and I did it…wow!!!!!! but brother to achieve anything you need to pay as there is no shortcut so whenever Sisters convey God’s words to us as a messenger and if I follow them then only I cud achieve the impossible task and the Shrimat which you are saying its wrong…Have you ever tried to find why these Shrimat or in your words restrictions are there??? Let me tell you 1. Food: As God has selected us child for the Supreme work not the normal task and he wants us to take just not food but the food with full of his power and not any –ve vibrations should come with the food (Kind of leakage for us) so for this reason we are suppose to eat only food cooked in the remembrance of God and filled with his supreme power’s vibrations (I have practically experience the difference) and then it would become very easy for us to becoming powerful and to do the self transformation.
2. If we see around today’s world major corruption, fear, insecurity and all the sins are because of lust which has made this world a Hell. Now God is saying the transformed world i.e Our Paradise would be free of all the lust, impurities and thats how no Sin could dare to enter the Paradise. So if you need to pay attention towards self transformation the major change needed is free yourself from lust and if you understood that what we carry along with us is our deeds and sanskars..so to enter into the Paradise we must have the sanskars of purity like deities and well if I cud get such a wonderful gift of Paradise and such a beautiful life then to become pure for the remaining life is a very small sacrifice and in return I became the most adorable and sweetest child of God, I cud feel his love which every1 in this world wishes and see how lucky I am that God has accepted my wish among so so many!!!!!!
What I found from your words that may be you were at the wrong place as this is the place only and only for the people who has the heart to feel and without feeling might be you would find this place very monotonous only and only white (purity) you will find. See what God has created a family for us and where all are trying to become the hands of God by transforming ourselves and please don’t expect that in a very short time we could change all strong bad habits in just 1 go but all are trying to improve and that is the beauty of this family . As you said seniors are flying in 1st class for this I would like to ask you that don’t you want in your normal family your elders deserve to get better opportunities than younger’s because they sacrificed so much in life and now this is the result of all their Karmas and about monetary help what I have observed outside even for such a stupid management , yoga classes , stress free living classes they charge a heavy amount and all seems to much professional and what do you think if Brahmakumaris don’t charge for of their teachings and giving us such a beautiful and their accommodations during campus and we get awesome food with full of love and in return charges no fix amount and according to their system only we the family member has the duty to contribute for such a great deed and get the chance to become the hands of GOD-FATHER. Its really shameful that if I am taking their time, energy and using their place and also having food and in return I am not contributing via giving my hands to work (no matter kitchen or for any other place) or in terms of money or else with the Good Wishes for all who are involved in this.
Bhai don’t know what you gained in 14 years but I really feel as a lucky star and thanking God that he has gifted me such a beautiful eyes to see his job of world transformation and pure heart to feel the vibrations of all my sisters and brothers in Brahmakumaris and the Aim to my Baba that is to give Shubh Kamana and Shubh Bahvana to not only my friends or my near and dear ones without any expectations but to the whole world keeping the same good feelings for all and become the most lovable 1st to Myself and then to the world and above all of our Sweetest Supreme Soul (God-Father)…My Baba.
The most precious things in your life could only be felt and cannot be analyzed….so feel from your inside and you will find the treasure of love, happiness and pleasure which no materialistic things could give you ever.
Om Shanti

Thanks Sonika for your reply,
I am happy that you are in the stage of beginning years intoxication of this so called GOD’s Gyan… This is obvious reply i was expecting, we were also talking in this nasha in our earlier years.
I am also happy that you have grasped every thing in such a short span of time and now ready to deliver it to the masses. The Generalised package of the 7-day course and GOD’s realization you have understood well.
Read my earlier post again… I’ve not quoted anything general, but I’ve tried to draw your attention towards the lifestyle of BKs and considering you, as my sister, to take care before applying it fully.
Let me tell you that I’ve no hatred for any body in this world, not even to them who are responsible for the downfall for the society or world as you quoted.
When we (I’m using “WE” instead of “I” because i am not the only one who is having these feelings) were explaining this Gyan to others, were telling others to taste the sugar in order to feel its sweetness. Now we elaborate this that don’t eat too much as it will cause you diabities.
All these matters are beyond any debate and cannot be proved. Experience is the best teacher.
Good luck

Dear Sonika, while reading your reply I simply found myself as I used to be some 12 years ago.
You have been introduced to a knowledge so different from what you know and yet as the b.k’s themselves say: It’s nothing new. If you take the time to study eastern and western religion, you will c that the beautiful B.K philosophy is a nice blend of the religions. So well presented that it becomes difficult with time to dissociate history from facts and fiction! It is true we experience lightness, peace, joy, … It is simply because you are now giving yourself the time to listen to your OWN SELF during meditation. Rem: all the treasures are hidden in you.
When I joined the b.k’s in 98, I knew the end was near (1999) and my efforts were based on the fact that time runs short. 1999 has now been revised to some ulterior date but with no specific timing as too many a time this promised doomsday has not taken place.
In 98, i learnt from my 7 day course that the world wd reach to EXACTLY a max of 5.5 billion people. Now it’s revised to and I quote: APPROXIMATELY 6.5 billion people.
The list would go long and I leave it to you to discover – which you will. I am still very spiritual and happy but by no means spirituality remain the sole property of a group.
I also witnessed the crying senior sisters when Dadi prakashmani passed away and asked myself: If she is simply reincarnating for the betterment of mankind (preparing for the doomsday amongst the advanced party) why r they crying? That is not spirituality. Of course, people will say that these sisters are not perfect , …. but the point is even the seniors are NOT authentic … probably a flaw with the teacher teaching them!
Anyway, life is a river where knowledge and wisdom flows. I can only wish you to keep growing spiritually. Keep shining and let you and YOU ALONE be the master of YOUR life.
All the best

Thanks Brother for your precious time and energy..I really appreciate this but as you told that Experience is the best teacher at the sametime I am surprised that how could you taste the sweetness when your foundation is so weak i.e taking the powerful food (cooked in Baba’s yaad) and mandatory Amrit Vela (Yog at 3:30-4:45) as we all know in brahmakumaris and my personal experience Amritverla is the foundation of all the shrimat and also is the most precious time when I feel myself with God and he gives me so much powers, blessings and love to move ahead and to overcome the impurities.
As you yourself has told earlier ” I am almost a regular student of BKWSU since 1996. But not following any shrimat of NOT eating food prepared by others, NOT getting up at 3:30 for yog ” and without this its very very hard to experience the blessings and power from God ..so transforming yourself is sometihing leave behind. Only after following Shrimat you cud imbibe all the powers and blessings and the only n only way (sorry no shortcuts) you could walk on this road to reach the Ulimate Goal which is a pure being who has complete control on his senses with all the powers(peace, hapiness,strenght..) and then only we could enter into the Golden-Heaven.
Bhai truly I pray for you to get onto the right path and belive my words whom so ever has bad impression about this organization they need to check themselves and I am 100% sure we are somewhere ourself resposible for this either some1 might have never been into this or if they did then they never followed the complete Shrimat without following the rules or directions you would definetely reach to a wrong destination or would meet an accident and then blaming some1 else is not fair.
(Lifestyle- Even to pass an IAS exam or to acheive any good position you need to frame your mind accordingly and need to avoid the normal living style and would use your maximum energy and time towards your goal else you cannot pass your exam and 1 example is around me 1 of my friend is preparing for IAS for last 10 years and she has not watched TV, no time waste, living a simple life with a high goal in her mind..so this is must to achieve a big target.)
You know I am feeling very good discussing with you and clearing my thoughts with you and wish may all cud see the beauty which is lying inside the BrahmaKumaris but need the devine eyes.

Now you got it….
The word “danger” comes out in your thoughts. That’s what I was trying to convey you. You expressed it yourself.
Please don’t take pains to justify “their” meaning of “danger” or “warnings”. I’ve heard it for all these years.
Real God would never show any type of “danger” or “warnings” or “fear”. They are shear cults…. Making money out of God’s fear.
You’ll not understand it now. Time will tell you.
Sonika, believe me. My intention is not at all to take you away from God.
Can I ask you a few questions.
Have you told this stuff to your parents?
Are you married?
Have you taken opinions from your lokik well wishers about this organisation?
Are you planning to be a surrendered sister?
What are your further plans of your life?
Perhaps this is my last message to you on this website.
feel free to communicate with me on because.parmeshwar@rediffmail.com
Go on observing their teachings….carefully please….
God Bless you.
P.S. : I was strong follower of every shrimat(what you said, “foundation”) for about 10 years. It is only recently, I dropped some of them, after noticing their hypocritical behaviour.

Om Shanti my Spiritual Brother…..you caught the word Danger but didn’t put ur mind behind it i.e the intention behind that was to save you from a wrong direction which will lead to an accident. Now believe me in this World Spiritual University also you need to go deep inside yourself to understand the Aim of 1st self transformation and then the World will get transform. Even in our family since childhood our parents restrict us from the dirty things and attimes they also scolded us that doesn’t mean they have bad intentions for us.
My brother who in this world can address you as “ My Sweet Child, Adorable Child and that’s again without a single day gap and daily teaching you for your improvement even though we are not so sweet and after that if we are not able to transform ourself into a nice being ..thats our fault…we should not say grapes are sour.
Yes you are asking me have I told my parents..let me tell you I discovered this Spiritual University by my own and with the due permission of my parents had started taking the classes and earlier no1 was showing any interest to what I was studying but after they saw practical change which was the coolness in any circumstances, very less anger, good wishes for all, and a strength inside..they 1st my parents took 7 days course and now they are a better student than me and huge improvement I cud seen in them …no more tension they take and a very +ve attitude towards all and after seeing their change recently my brother and sister also took the course and we have also started the journey of self improvement. So the Aim “self transform will lead to the world transformation” is proved at my home.
(Foget the future I know my present is wonderful and most beautiful ever and would do my level best to continue this forever till my death.)
Also let me share the most beautiful experience I had in my life was a month earlier when I went to 1 school regarding a project “Touch the light” (BK’s Youth Wing) where we give our time to children and discuss with them on various topics to overcome hurdles in their daily life and to build up confidence ,self-esteem… And to my surprise Principal was so much impressed with Brahmakumaris Management and with their contribution that when myself along with a sister reached there they with the complete teacher staffs honored us so nicely and were eager to listen us and requested if we cud increase the number of students.
And I would like to covey my wishes to all who come up with a good example to the world and change this world to a better place with full of happiness, peace and love.
Good Luck to you also my brother for ur life ahead !

My Spiritual Brother I feel so lucky that in such a short time I got the opportunity to meet Baba, to become a member of Youth Wing ,visited Madhuban twice and ORC 5-6 times and participated in so many camps and during all this got the opportunity to meet 100s of Devine Brothers and Sisters who are into this Godly Service for a long time( Max Category 15-40 years) and seeing their faces all I could see Baba’s beauty everywhere and the campus just reminds my Baba’s home with full of love, peace and happiness…and my each and every breath says I wish I could also spend a long time in this Diamond Era ….as long as possible and may God keep showering all his blessings on us….what else could be more beautiful than living in God’s vibration all the time.
I really appreciate myself to be the student of this World University where God themselves teach us to be in peace, happiness and in love forever..and off course Baba’s 1st lesson is that these are the virtues of a soul and just we just need to rediscover our self and Good to know that he made the standard so high that even while losing our near and dears we are not suppose to lose our happiness and need not to cry and has been proved by Brahma Baba whose footsteps we all (including our seniors)are following and on the way to achieve the target.
No doubt the path is not so easy (many-many leave this journey in between) but if we will remain focus and energetic in Baba’s vibration we could easily cross this long way and would definitely fulfill Baba’s dream to pass with Honor in all the circumstances.

I know your efforts are sincere but for sure I will not be there should anything go wrong. At least, do not make the mistake most B.K’s do by getting distant from their lokik family as they will be the only ones there for you in moments of needs. If you are not aware, then just for a check ask your sister in charge:”How do we take charge of a student who is severely ill or fell suddenly mentally sick?”
Rem: A true family is one who is always there even if we have been ugly. My family was still there for me even after 12 years! May be a previous good karma of mine I guess.
I experienced a true family feeling with the B.K’s at 1st only to discover the conditions, expectations, lies and hypocrisy that lie beneath. I was even asked to follow the SML course only to instigate people to pay for the course which was advertised FREE!
I believe there is a vast difference between humility and blind faith. I have been blind faithed for a long time by saying haji to everything without questioning. And all the way I used to think that was humility! Asking question is also Taboo among B.K’s and that is no secret to you I guess.
I still have a long way to go now that I have woken up but I will keep going … stronger and stronger.
One can only realise he has been sleeping once he wakes up. And don’t forget that the world belongs to those who wake up early!

Don’t misinterpret the word “honeymoon period” Sonika, it is meant for the begining period of intoxication in BK-Gyan.
If you are really enjoying(as everybody do in the early years)enjoy it fully. Do not visit these alarming sites as it will put you in doubt.
All I can say is observe them carefully…. make the best use of baba’s support to enhance YOUR CAREER FIRST. Please…I beg.
Or directly I request you to SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY FROM THIS HEAVY DUTY CULT.

Om Shanti Divine family
Please accept godly greetings and remembrance.
By way of an introduction, I am a young kumar, Chartered Accountant by profession and a regular student of BK family since 7 years having personally met Bapdada 6 times at Diamond Hall. I’m also in active association with Youth wing, SpARC wing and IT wing of BKs at Pune, India.
I happened to visit this site by chance today and went through the discussion on this page. I am indeed happy and proud with sister Sonkia that she has put across the knowledge in wonderful way. I also appreciate her experience with Bapdada and family.
Similarly I also agree with many issues raised by both because.parmeshwar and Henry bhai. What I understand from the discussion that during the initial few years in gyan, one experiences extreme intoxication which eventually goes off after a few years. In fact this was a research project referred in the SpARC wing meeting last month that what are the reasons for BKs leaving family and how can we avoid the same. Since both of you are in gyan over 10 years, you can indeed help me carrying out this project well.
Firstly, referring to sugar-diabetes example quoted above, I agree that initially listening murlis would give us lots of thrill and joy. However after some years we tend to loose interest listening the similar murlis. We should indeed device ways and means to keep up the intoxication and believe me, it may be difficult but not impossible.
Secondly, out of my experience, I found that many BKs initially are very proactive to any seva allotted as they think that it is Godly service and their little contribution will yield them multiple of billions in future. Eventually as service grows, many of us start looking each other and in some way or other try finding defects. For example, Senior sister crying after Dadi left body as narrated above. It is right upon a common man’s prospective that if seniors are also behaving in such a fashion, what example do they put forth for us? Is there a defect in the knowledge given by the Supreme that in spite of practicing it for years together, some senior brother or sisters do not speak to each other or disregard Shrimat??…etc.
If we try to judge the situation independently, we will find that Baba has never told in the murlis to behave in such way. He has always told us to follow father, not brother. We also know that Baba says that a kingdom is being formed. There would be difference in behavior or dharna/ churning of different children till the end hence the rosary cannot be formed right now. We tend to forget this and if someone talks ill to us, we try to be away from him/her, eventually murli and then from Baba and try to find some silly reasons to call Baba as cult.
Thirdly, after we listen to Baba’s knowledge for a few years and also try listening and understand knowledge given by other institutions or family/ friends, we try comparing them and eventually try finding some loopholes in Baba’s knowledge. Over here, our confidence in Baba which was built easily during initial years starts getting lost resulting into we following the worldly knowledge as at that time we feel that BK knowledge is old and has no acceptance in the world. The firm belief that we initially had that this knowledge can be given only by Supreme Soul and it being truth starts getting diminished.
Fourthly, I have also seen that as we progress in gyan, we tend to desire similar treatment that we received during the initial years. For instance for some reason for a particular day the centre-in-charge does not speak to us and entertains some VIP or BK brother who is younger to us, we may feel annoyed or lonely, whereas instead we should realize that by now we are spiritually grown and we must have an open mind to accept any treatment given to us.
Fifthly, suppose initially we were following all the Dharna points i.e. all the DOs and DONTs of Brahmin life and suppose by some reason, we are unable to follow a few, initially we avoid it by stating a genuine reason. However slowly it avoidance of Shrimat turns to be regular and then we start complaining that following this Gyan is tough, not my piece of cake. Further, if we see any junior or peer following Shrimat regularly, we may try to find some loop holes into that fellow to put him down which eventually turns out into haltered with all others who follow Baba’s shrimat.
There are many more points which become a cause to carry us away from Baba…
I hope, instead we being a cause or towards a destructive side, let us try to find different SOLUTIONS for it and be towards CONSTRUCTIVE side. You are welcome to share more solutions to resolve this situation.
Regards,
In Baba’s yaad…

Prafull quoted
“We should indeed device ways and means to keep up the intoxication and believe me, it may be difficult but not impossible.”
The question is not of sustaining in knowledge. On can discover number of ways to keep going in gyan provided it is true. Saying that we should find ways in order to continue our intoxication, is like saying go on to give support to some fake thing and try pretending it to be true. Truth requires no support Praful…
Go back to the history of yagya. The number of failed predictions of destruction. The inconsistencies in number of souls. Initially it was 5 billion, then it became 5.5 billion, most recently is 6 billions… The father doesn’t know the actual number of his children. They go with the flow…
Observe carefully the teachings given in murlis. The words GODFATHER uses. It is difficult to believe them as God’s words.
Watch carefully the aspirants going to Madhuban. More than 50% are newcomers (Pahli Bari Aye hai wo haath Uthao.) They get applause and feel good that they have not become too late.. The others are those who are taking them there or those who got caught in BKs web.
The organisation is good for them, who seeks power and control over others (in the beginning it seems opposite.)Open up a centre, seek followers for seva, run after VIP,VVIP and and….. It all depends upon TYPE of the person you are. If you really intend to serve humanity, believe me Praful, this organization is not for you…
Excuse me, for using strong words, and don’t take it as an attack on your faith. Because it is not.

Dear Because.parmeshwar, let me elaborate your comments a little.
You are right that HUMAN predictions of world destruction can often go wrong. Till today, GOD has never revealed the date of destruction and even in the latest Murli dated 18 Jan 2010, he has said that he will never declare the date till the end as he wants all the Children to be Eveready.
You are also right that world population has increased from 5 billion from 1950s to 6 billion in 2000s. In fact even school going child would know that world population has an increasing trend over years. It cannot be same every time.
You are also right that the organization (BKWSU) is under power and control of GOD. In fact, over here it is taught that one should follow SHRIMAT i.e. God’s advice as one cannot get liberated and come Heaven if followed Human advice.
Let me also add one important point that only that soul who has complete trust in Shiv Baba can remain in this organization. The moment if anyone feels that Shiv Baba is not God or whatever taught here is not truth, one should without wasting much time, leave the organization as if the base foundation of belief is shaken, one would end up gaining nothing.
Excuse me, for using strong words, but the fact is that if you are not able to digest Shiv Baba’s teachings, (as very few would have a Divine intellect to understand the Truth) do not mind, you may forget the organization. Even Shiv Baba says that Sweet Children, you should judge the knowledge before following or believing it.

Would that be The Knowledge that they are suffering this savage Destruction so that you and other BKs can inherit the earth, while all they have is more suffering repeated cycle after cycle. You will probably want to repeat that they will have their own little Golden Age, but I do not think the statistics add up.
How much has the population of the world multiplied in the last century? Say it has trebled, though it is probably more. Are all those extra ‘souls’ experiencing their own “Golden Age birth”??
I could be wrong but I really do not think so. Yet another example of the lack of questioning from practicing BKs. This question is a practical one with a very definite answer.
There is no question of faith in it. Can you find me an answer?
In the meantime, those people who are out there on the streets giving their help, have my vote as having God-like sanskars.

Giving help to people on streets is indeed a good deed. However, if such help is in form of money, and such money is used for bad purpose like alcohols, drugs, etc. such deed goes for a toss. If we help them by way of goods like cloths, food, etc. such deed will stay for some period of time. However doing the deed of helping one grow spiritually is indeed a Noble deed. This is what is referred to God- like sanskars and God is helping all of us to grow spiritually grow. If we follow Him, we will gather good fortune for others as well us ourselves.

Flexibility and adaptability are good qualities, but without a basic understanding of right vs wrong, good vs evil, it’s better to be stubborn and stick with what is safe for you and your family.

The only way to get him thinking clearly again is by reminding him of real facts and down to earth support.

Why would God want 5.5 billion or 6.5 billion or an unknown number or EVEN ONE of his children to suffer hell? The argument that only 900,000 (or whatever that number is) people will inherit the Golden world sounds too much unlike the will of a real God, and more like the call of a smart marketing brain trying to sell a ‘limited-edition watch’ that ONLY A SELECT FEW can afford to possess.
How can shunning people who love and care for you; hurting the feelings of your fellow human beings; and withholding the love that God put into your heart to share with others bring any kind of spiritual upliftment?
God gave us this life to live and learn our lessons, and so evolve as human beings and souls. How does disconnecting/renouncing/’running away’ help that cause? Aren’t we, in that case, simply ‘intoxicating’ ourselves on ‘fake liquor’?
These are questions we need to ask ourselves and decide what’s right.

because.parmeshwar Reply:

You are right that only 900000 would enter the Golden age. If all the souls come, again there would be similar problems as faced in Iron Age due to over population. As the souls are limited, each would have its own palace, plenty of food, etc. There won’t be shortage of anything.
Hence “limited-edition watch’ that ONLY A SELECT FEW can afford to possess” is apt

I’ll tell you something, ‘don’t fall for it’. The golden age – okay yes maybe when the world was first built – but come on – do you really think the Bks could turn it in like that? “Make believe”. I don’t want to write any negativity, but I just want to save people, from taking the wrong “path”. This is not spirituality. If you believed in God, you would pray daily at home, and really care for your family – why should one have to sacrifice everything?
Absoloutely absurd. Come on guys – wake up – can’t you see what’s happening here…? Take care everyone. This is my final comment, because I have better things to do with my life, and precious time. All the best.

If sitting at home would help us directly attaining God, then everyone would be happy in this world dear.
It is only by way of sacrifice that one can attain God. However, such sacrifice may not be physical. BKs teach that even while being in family, going to office, one can sacrifice everything from mind and become trustee which would ultimately reduce the vice of greed and attachment.

Dedicated to BK Sonika and BK Prafull:
The young caterpillar always asked a butterfly that came often to its home in the mulberry tree – what is it like when you become a butterfly?
The butterfly would try to explain, but could never find the words.
All it would ever say was ‘One day, you will know”.
Then one day, the caterpillar felt a strange feeling, and wrapped itself into a silken cocoon. it was so lovely and peaceful. As the coziness lulled it into a deep sleep, its last thought was” I don’t want to be a butterfly. I just want this warm peaceful feeling……”
As it emerged and gloried in its new beautiful form, it took a leap and amazed itself at how easily it could fly around the mulberry tree. As it came closer, seeing its home from a new point of view, it saw a caterpillar busily weaving itself into its new cocoon, and remembered its own experience, its own aching curiosity.
It decided to fly close and tell the caterpillar everything. The caterpillar looked up from its weaving, and asked “What is it like to become a butterfly”.
But the butterfly, overwhelmed by its freedom and flight, found it could not find adequate words, and said the only phrase that came close to the truth “One day, you will know”
The moral of the story is in the chronology…… The truth of the story depends on how you want to see yourself, and whether you think there is more change to come in your life.
Try to fix the truth of the story to only one episode of your life, and you will kill it.

I am intrigued by a BK friend. I met her recently after years. The traits of her behavior is confusing. Let me try to explain and give me your suggestions.
- She is an engineer works in Software Industry in Bangalore for past 10 years. Dedicated to her work.
- Stays alone, family is upset because she hasn’t married and refused marriage. Her point is I have right to choose my life as per my requirements and I am very happy in it.
- Other than BK, she follows Indian classical music and organizes musical functions also (Note: This is good).
- Her facebook friend list comprises both engineer friends and BK friends.
During the meeting, she seems terribly nice. Is it because meeting after a long time or because of BK involvement.
She is interested to be in touch with friends from college (10 years back). Is excited about that. She posts in facebook that college days were the best years in her life. Now that’s a good sign that something other than BK excites her.
Or is it that unlike other engineers who now have family, she doesn’t have any so that uncompleteness feeling is inside her. Hence she longs for that.
She said that weekends she is very busy doing BK events and Indian classical music work. Quite innocently. Looks like she is not suspicious of non BKs. She seems to be really happy.
Now, traits of BK.
- Before meeting face to face, tried to initiate discussion about BK, way of life etc. Cold response. is not willing to discuss. Whatever BK is, she is fully convinced.
- Is involved with BK at least for 5 years.
- Has canceled a marriage proposal set by parents.
- Stays in Bangalore but goes to Mt. Abu at least once a year for important functions.
Another friend (non BK) suggests that
- She is quite happy in what she is doing. If she is pulled from that she cannot adjust in usual society.
I agree with that.
Impression:
My impression is that she is still somewhat level headed. It’s like living two lives, one the earlier life and one a BK life.
Questions
- How long will she be associated with BK. Will it be lifetime. Or is there chance of herself understanding and coming back.
- Will any time she is likely to shift to Madhuban full time.
- What will happen at old age. When she is not physically strong, will BK take care of her.

She gave them money, jewelry and also did “haddi seva”. None of the BKs cared after she died. They didn’t call even once to see how we were doing. The senior sister called a couple of weeks later to find out if we can send our car for their use. That’s all. How cold? I cannot stand these people. Unfortunately my father still doesn’t see the light of they use the BK member/students for money, and other comforts that they need.

Hello,
I am just starting to learn the Raja Yoga meditation at Brahma Kumaris here in the Philippines. And, surprisingly, I stumbled upon your website and I am kind of hesitant to join because of the things I’ve read here. It sounds alarming. What I wanted to learn is only the meditation part but I don’t intend in joining their “Organization”.
They actually call them “brothers and sisters” and for what I observed, they wear white robes and are very quiet. Most of them are old people already and they sounded legit to me. But right now, i’m not so sure. They let me register and let me put my contact information and my addess. Do you think I made a wrong move in that? Oh im so afraid right now but I really wanted to learn meditation.

Hi J,
This happens to so many people, and not just in BKs but with other groups eg born-again christians or any religion. there si the zeal of the convert which then consolidates. But the BKs are a little more insidious because they ever so gradually pull people in to do things for them (unpaid labour) and donate services, goods, and money.
They appear benign and benevolent (and I think they believe they are), their meditation and activities can seem a real “oasis”, giving people permission for some quiet time etc in a harsh world. they are encouraged to “donate” – a soft sell which reaps more than asking for fees could!
See my reply to N15 here http://bkwsuwatch.com/contact-details/#comment-3085
some of that may be applicable to you. That is, I suggest the use of “diversionary” approach rather than confrontational (remembering my attitude to criticisms whilst I was a BK)
That said however, you may need to take the family’s financial matters in hand, withdraw access to credit cards and accounts with any sizeable sums. My guess is, as she has engaged more with the BKs she has disengaged with practicalities like budgeting etc?
You can always say that the budget requires better control, you are regretfully going to ‘budget’ more stringently and take control. You should still allocate an allowance to her that she can use for herself each week as SHE pleases – whether its BKs or not, at least its an amount that won’t do too much harm. Its not too different to some wives who get manicures, buy excessive pairs of shoes etc!! if you say “anything but BKs” she will see it as unfair, which is true enough, she is an adult and a partner.
The issue with your daughter is trickier. How old is she? Daughters stay close to their mums until early teens then they tend to be closer to their dads, seeking differentiation from mum then rebelling against both with friends becoming more important fro a while!.
They are searching for answers as teenagers and the trick there i think is exposure to whats on offer -comparative religions and philosophies, science, atheism and agnosticism. Exposure to different cultures, the harsh truths about religions generally, eg caste consciousness in brahminism, witch hunts in christianity, – letting her see humanity as the actual “truth” rather than any one part of it…
I might also suggest partner (couples) counselling, where things can be talked through under the guidance of a dispassionate third party. Some cost money, some are provided free by certain charities. I doubt whether its the price that makes for a better counsellor!
Keep us informed.
